Adas Calibration

Keith Faulds Motor Engineers are proud to be one of the main ADAS calibration centres in the south west of Scotland. ADAS systems (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, radar-guided cruise control and lane departure warning are already a common feature of most modern cars.

These systems are designed to save lives by alerting the driver to a hazard or by automatically taking the necessary action to prevent a collision. By 2022 up to 11 Advanced Driver Assist Systems will be mandatory on all new cars.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO GET MY ADAS SYSTEM RECALIBRATED?

ADAS systems respond to data provided by cameras and sensors, so correct operation depends on the accuracy of this data. Even a slight misalignment of a camera or radar sensor could mean the difference between avoiding an accident or not.

While calibration is carried out before the vehicle leaves the factory, calibration must be carried out again after many procedures including:

  • Wheel alignment or axle geometry
  • Windscreen replacement
  • Front or rear collision repair
  • Mechanical repairs to steering, suspension and even simple bodywork repairs

It is also advisable to have your car’s camera(s) and/or radar sensor(s) checked if they haven’t been calibrated in the past 3 years. Keith Faulds Motor Engineers has specialist ADAS calibration equipment from Hella Gutmann Solutions and ADAS-trained technicians.

"Just a really helpful and professional garage. We were only in the area for a few days but Faulds got us back on the road quickly so we could enjoy the rest of our holiday. Great communication, great value and couldn't be happier with their service."

Very friendly, accommodating and thorough service. Great value you for money too. Previously used them for Service & MOT and they're the best value for money, also been having issues with my car for a while, finally got it seen to and turns out my previous garage 'misdiagnosed' it and the job was actually alot cheaper than I thought. Cars running smoothly and no issues since.

Broken spring late Friday. Back on the road just after lunch on Saturday. Well done and thanks to Keith and the team. Much appreciated squeezing me in.

D. Shannon

Brilliant service, used the garage for years, wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else, highly recommended.

K. Black

Fast, pleasant staff, comfy waiting room, kept in the loop and informed of the work done.
